Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actress. She is best known for her performance as Skyler White on the AMC show Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in A Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. The other roles she played are Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock from Deadwood. She was born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in 1968 Anna Gunn fell in love performing in the Preparatory school when her family moved to Ohio in the late 1970's. She spent a year at the British American Drama Academy and pursued a degree in theater in the theatre department at Northwestern University. Anna was a part of Chicago's theatre for several years, before taking on film and television roles. Anna made her debut in 1992 when she appeared as Arden for the duration of 29 episodes on Down the Shore. From the start of her career, she was a frequent guest on TV and in films including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue. She was cast as Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons throughout the decade of 2000. In 2008, she was a part as Skyler on Breaking Bad. Gunn also appeared in the Deadwood film and Sully. Gunn has also appeared on stage and played in the David Schwimmer-directed production of Sex With Strangers. Also, she appeared in Numbered Day, a podcast comprising four audio plays. Breaking Bad is often built around Walter White's love affair with his partner Skyler. The strained relationship and eventual demise reflect the sad end of Walter White.
